ESN Okan - Erasmus Student Network has been part of ESN Turkey since 2013. Since its foundation ESN Okan has been actively
collaborating with Erasmus Office of Okan University to offer the best exchange experience to
incoming and outgoing students. ESN Okan family gives great importance to supporting Erasmus
students via giving them an opportunity to be part of social issues. Every year attained buddies
become close friends of Erasmus students and keep their friendships for many years. This year ESN
Okan focused on creating solid bonds with other sections and realized various Section Cooperations.
Among them is ESAA funded social art project “Peace of Art” which we co-wrote and co-cooperated
with ESN Yeditepe giving a unique opportunity to refugee and local children to communicate and
participate in various art workshops.
Okan University was founded by Okan Culture Education and Sports Foundation in 1999 and began
its academic life in 2003. In spite of its young age, it became a quite popular and wanted university
since 2006. Okan University always aimed to build an effective bridge between the academic and the
business world, true to its motto “The University Closest to Business Life”. Furthermore, Okan
University provides a lot of international programmes for its students to study abroad such as ISEP,
Erasmus+, Bilateral Exchange etc. Every year Okan University welcomes a great number of
international students from all over the world. Since 2015 Okan University has been offering various
courses in its Miami Campus in USA also enabling Turkish students to study their prep year in The
