ESN Bilkent is one of the most, if not the most, international ESN sections in Turkey, dedicated to helping students settle in Ankara and Bilkent University. The team focuses on a variety of tasks, such as arranging activities during the orientation week, facilitating the residence permit application process, and organizing trips. It works in close cooperation with the university in order to attract more students every year.
Bilkent University is the first private, non-profit university in Turkey, located in Ankara. In September 2016 it was Turkey’s highest-ranked university in the Quacquarelli Symonds Top 50 Under 50 listing for 2016-2017. It covers an area of over 300 hectares, with approximately 13,000 students, around 1,000 of which are international. The university has 29 bachelor’s and 51 graduate programs, over 100 student clubs, and exchange program agreements with over 250 universities.
